Western Sydney University becomes
a Supporting Sponsor

ICCPM is proud to have Western Sydney University as a Supporting Sponsor for the 2020 International Roundtable Series. As an ICCPM Academic Partner, the University has developed a strong relationship with ICCPM through the School of Built Environment including the Master of Project Management (MPM) program and the Centre for Smart Modern Construction (c4SMC) and the Office of Strategic Project Implementation and Improvement (OSPII). ICCPM welcomes their contribution to this thought leadership activity and applauds them for supporting activities that keep their researchers and students at the forefront of complex project delivery.

The MPM program, designed and delivered in reference to A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) of the Project Management Institute (PMI), adopts an industry-focused and student-centred teaching approach, facilitated by state of the art teaching facilities right in the centre of Parramatta. Students have the unique opportunity to specialise in Construction, Engineering or IT, or simply take the Generic PM stream. Students also enjoy the flexibility to choose one of the three pathways including Coursework, Research and Work-Integrated Learning.

c4SMC is an industry collaboration initiative embracing smart technologies and processes in delivering a modern construction industry. It is a leading industry-focused research hub in Australia, where challenges of sustainability, digitalisation, industrialisation, resilience and globalisation are proactively responded to through academic, industry, professional body and government collaboration.

OSPII is the centre of excellence for project management within the University. OSPII leverages the teams combined expertise to provide a variety of support and leadership to deliver a business transformation and strategic projects for the University.

The 2020 International Roundtable Series with Series Partner QUTeX invites senior practitioners and academics to discuss the theme of Harnessing Emergence in Complex Projects: Risk Uncertainty and Opportunity. Findings from the discussions will be used to produce new insights and practical steps to improve complex project success. Learn more at the 2020 Roundtable webpage.
