The International Centre for Complex Project Management extends a warm welcome to Western Sydney University (WSU) who join our community as a new Academic Partner.

The partnership between WSU and ICCPM signifies a strong commitment to strengthening the capabilities of future project managers, equipping them with the modern skills sets, networks and access to a community of practice required for improved project performance and successful delivery.

The connection between theWSU students to ICCPM’s network allows the two organisations to optimise development opportunities for students, enhance thought leadership in key areas as identified by industry partners, and provides opportunities for open exchange of information and insights between academics and project professionals to enhance capability in complex project delivery.

“The multifaceted complexity of contemporary projects and the rapid progress of technologies set new challenges for shaping the future project managers. Closely connecting and joining academics and project professionals to address these challenges is the win-win strategy for the student-centred Western Sydney University and its Master of Project Management program,”
said Professor Simeon Simoff, Dean of the School of Computing Engineering & Mathematics, Western Sydney University.

On welcoming the partnership with Western Sydney University, ICCPM CEO Collin Smith said, “It is my pleasure to announce Western Sydney University, as a new Academic Partner to the ICCPM. WSU has already demonstrated their own commitment to developing the University’s capability in project management through the initiation of their Project Management Office in 2017 and the establishment of a Master of Project Management degree in 2018. We look forward to working with WSU to advance a growing interest in the area of complexity in project environments.”
