Complexity in Project Environments

Aim
This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills required to recognise when complexity is present in project environments and to select and apply approaches for navigating the identified complexity. Aims include the application of knowledge of the elements and types of complexity to identify, assess and treat complexity in projects and the skills to evaluate and implement alternative approaches and strategies for responding effectively.
Who is this unit for?
This course builds on the existing knowledge and experience of people in mid-to senior levels and with an understanding of project management methodology, philosophies, and frameworks such as PRINCE II, PMBOK, AGILE, LEAN Six Sigma, MSP, P3M3 etc. It is suitable for those people who would like an introduction to complexity in project management but have not yet decided if they want to commit to completing the ICCPM Nationally Accredited Certificate IV in Responding to Project Complexity. Those students who successfully complete this short course and would like to continue to complete the Certificate IV may also choose to do so by completing required assessment tasks and requesting a transfer.#
