1 Day Courses
Introduction to Complexity
For those seeking a general awareness of complexity principles. This course introduces participants to the difference between simple, complicated and complex projects, and the different techniques needed to manage complexity.
Project Team Development
For project and program teams. This workshop includes the use of a Team Management Profile diagnostic which assists project managers and project teams understand how work preferences can be used to build performance levels, team effectiveness and job satisfaction.
Managing Messy Problems
For leaders, managers, and supervisors dealing with complexity and seemingly intractable issues that don’t seem to go away. This course introduces Polarity Mapping as a way to understand the sometimes hidden forces of opposing values at work in organisations, projects and people.
2 Day Courses
Leadership and Team Development
This course is an extension of the Team Development course. It includes additional focus on the leadership theory and techniques to lead through complex projects.
Contract Management and Procurement in Complex Projects
This course will benefit procurement and contract managers. It gives participants the skills to identify, assess and treat the various aspects of complexity when exploring acquisition and sustainment strategies, exploring risk allocation, and managing contracts in complex environments.
Systems Thinking for Complex Environments
This course helps managers facing complex problems to develop the skills required to diagnose issues, develop solutions and implement approaches that can incorporate multiple systems views and engage with the perspectives of multiple stakeholders.
3 Day Courses
Systems Thinking for Complex Environments (extended)
This is an extended version of the 2 day Systems Thinking for Complex Environments. The additional day allows participants to apply their knowledge on a real organisational case.
Complexity in Project Environments
This standalone course covers the first module of the Cert IV in Responding to Organisational Complexity. Participants can obtain a Certificate of Attendance or elect to complete the assessment and obtain a Statement of Obtainment towards the full nationally recognised Cert IV qualification. Suited to those who seek an awareness of the complex project management paradigm and who want to develop a tool kit to identify and respond to complexity in project environments.
