Special Interest Groups

ICCPM Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are dedicated to discussing and learning more about a variety of topics in complex project management. They provide a conducive environment for ICCPM Members to come together virtually to share their expertise and experiences, and learn from one another. . Special Interest Groups interact through forums that span various topics in complexity.

ICCPM’s ACP SIG is a forum fostering collaboration to enable cross-disciplinary insights that enhance decision-making in complex projects. The group will facilitate knowledge exchange and share best practices, case studies, and lessons learned. This collective wisdom helps practitioners navigate complexities and apply data-driven approaches effectively. The SIG will promote the adoption of data-driven tools, including AI models, to address project challenges and optimise resource allocation.

The Australian Government has recently established the Australian Public Service (APS) Complex Project Management Profession to enhance the skills and capabilities of professionals managing complex projects within the APS. This initiative aims to build the skills for complex project management excellence, ensuring that the APS is well-equipped to handle the challenges of complex projects.  

ICCPM’s MRC SIG is a forum for open conversations and collaborative exploration into managing risk and uncertainty in complex project environments. The MRC SIG aims to identify and to develop improved risk management insights, tools, and methods of value to project owners and managers. In addition to four formal SIG meetings each year, there will be ongoing opportunities for ad-hoc meetings and collaboration on topics of interest to members
