The International Centre for Complex Project Management (ICCPM) is an independent, not-for-profit, member-based organisation. As the peak body for complex project delivery, it is the custodian of the Complex Project Manager Competency Standards on behalf of the Commonwealth of Australia.

The Position
The ICCPM board provides strategic advice and sets the strategic direction for the CEO and a small team of permanent staff. It provides governance, ensuring ICCPM achieves its mission to provide support to organisations and individual project managers to improve complex project delivery through training, thought leadership, industry engagement, networking opportunities and knowledge dissemination.
The ICCPM board views the appointment of new directors as an opportunity to expand the reach of the organisation and stimulate new ideas. Applications are sought from experienced board directors with expertise in complexity and a passion for making a difference in the knowledge and practice of complex project leadership. In this instance, for at least one out of the two positions applications from the United Kingdom are actively sought to support ICCPM’s increased activity in the UK and Europe.
- Position: Non-executive director (2 available)
- Remuneration: Voluntary
- Minimum contribution: Attendance at 4 board meetings and participation in the AGM (virtual participation is supported)
- Term: 2 years
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Successful applicants will possess strong business acumen, and strategic vision and have the drive, and commitment to improving the future skills of project professionals working in complex environments. The following points further outline the opportunity and ideal candidate:
- 2x Positions available (1 position situated in the UK. No limitation on the geographic location of the second position)
- Capable of providing Industry Sector Representation in any of the following areas:
- Defence
- Space/ Aerospace
- Infrastructure
- Health (Building hospitals, pharma, medical device)
- Renewable Energy
- Substantive complex project experience
- Board experience preferred.
- Have experience in senior-level executive positions
- Have a passion for volunteering/giving back and are willing to be generous with their time
