The international leg of the 2024-25 International Roundtable Series continued in London on Thursday 20 June 2024 with a wonderful turnout at the offices of Supporting Sponsor (and London hosts), Turner & Townsend.

This event – supported by Event Sponsor, the Association for Project Management (APM) – was full of project professionals from a wide range of industries who all contributed their expertise and experience in the fruitful discussions of the day.

A huge thank you to our Keynote Speaker, Murray Rowden (Global Head of Infrastructure, Turner & Townsend).

Murray shared some thoughts and lessons learned from working on the Heathrow Terminal 5 development. He reflected that the budget of mega projects is now often more than the value of the company delivering the project so the risk is significant. He noted that too often the response was to manage this risk with more oversight and control but T5 excelled because it incentivised problem solving and empowered the people in the project to act, thus preventing things going wrong in the first place. He stressed that the most important thing in the project was the people.

You can join the 2024-25 International Roundtable Series at our range of workshops online and in-person across Australia and International locations.
