ICCPM Launches the
2022-23 International Roundtable Series

The International Centre for Complex Project Management (ICCPM) is pleased to launch its 2022-23 International Roundtable Series. This biennial Thought Leadership initiative brings together senior project professionals and leading academics from around the world to explore the identified theme, and to harness their collective wisdom to produce new insights and practical steps that organisations can take to improve complex project performance.

The 2022-23 series will explore Data Analytics for Informed Decision Making in Complex Projects. It will explore ‘data’ and ‘analytics’ for decision making in both quantitative and qualitative aspects, and will consider the entanglement of the human experience as part of our relationship with machines. The ability to understand data, both hard and soft (quantitative and qualitative), is an important enabler for decision making in complex projects, and critical for improving the performance of projects across multiple sectors.

We are thrilled to once again have the support of some of the nation’s leading projects-based organisations such as Team Downer MSP and CASG to improve the delivery of projects in complex environments. As we travel to major Australian cities and internationally, we invite project experts to join us and their fellow professionals, to contribute to the growing body of knowledge of complex project management.

– Collin Smith, ICCPM Managing Director and CEO

This series is supported by the Australian Department of Defence – Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), and ICCPM is pleased to announce Team Downer MSP as the Anchor Sponsor. Current Series Sponsors include Airservices Australia and the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with more to be announced.

We are pleased to partner with ICCPM on this important Thought Leadership initiative. The delivery of projects is often faced with complex challenges, and a heightened knowledge and greater insight into the area of data analytics has a clear potential to improve project processes and outcomes.

– Mathew Bradley, General Manager, Team Downer MSP

The Series will comprise a number of Australian and International workshops in key locations, the first of which will be held in Canberra on the 18th August, 2022. An outcomes report informed by participants’ insights will be published at the end of the Series to provide practitioners with practical steps to improve complex project success. The latest report from the ICCPM 2020-21 International Roundtable Series entitled Harnessing Emergence in Complex Projects: Rethinking Risk, Opportunity and Resilience is publicly available for a limited time. Previous reports are available free to ICCPM Members.
