Project Leaders as Humble Iconoclasts
In preparation for her book Leading Complex Projects, Kaye and her research team interviewed over 100 successful senior project leaders. These highly successful project leaders consistently exhibited certain key characteristics and behaviours. In this webinar Kaye discusses some of the outstanding characteristics that distinguished those leaders.
Dr. Kaye Remington combines a rich mix of many years of international experience in project and senior management followed by university level leadership, research, consulting and authorship of academic papers, four books and several book chapters. Tools for Complex Projects (2007), co-authored with Julien Pollack, and Leading Complex Projects, (2011), were followed by an e-book (2013), entitled Kairos: Managing Time and Emergence in Complex Projects.
Kaye started her career in architecture and then went on to study psychology, complexity theory and innovation. She now devotes her attention to project leadership in complex and contested environments. During her career she has lived and worked in many countries, consulting to organisations involved in construction, engineering, transport, defence, manufacturing and the arts. She maintains her role as a visiting academic to several post-graduate level programs, both in Australia and overseas, and continues to research and write!
